More violent rhetoric...

Via CNN:
President Obama is planning to mention the Tucson shooting tragedy near the top of his State of the Union Address Tuesday in order to press members of Congress to "lower your tone and raise your sights"...
Haven't we had enough violent firearms analogies in political speech lately, Mr. President?

Oh, and what happened in Arizona wasn't a "tragedy"; it was an "outrage". There's a difference.

(Applied to the quote, not Tucson)

I dunno, I'd say it was both in all seriousness.

The tragedy was the insanity of a young man. The outrage is that he acted on it.

The outrage is that all the $%^&*#@# Obamedia promptly bleated that every conservative who ever lived as much as pulled the trigger. Then, after Obamessiah called for civility, they went back to calling conservatives Nazis.

The difference between conservatives and liberals is that if Sarah Palin had been shot, the libs would have lined the streets as she went to the rehab hospital carrying signs and chanting for her to die.

I agree it wasn't a tragedy, but my word of choice is "atrocity."

"...adult supervision?"

Who do they want supervised?
Congress? I want them policed, not supervised (can we get somebody hired to slap the hell out of anyone telling lies on the floor of Congress?).

We the people? We don't need "supervision." We are meant to be sovereign. This has become an abuse relationship, and it's not a recent development...too damned many people seem to have Stockholm syndrome.

excerpt:

"Regarding this tragedy in Tucson, we must remember to take a proper stance against violence. We must square our shoulders against this enduring threat, and draw upon our legacy as a free people, raising our sights to that mark. When we are sure of our intention, we must then press firmly and unflinchingly, never staging our action in doubt or hesitation."

Snerk! :)

The outrage was that a senile old democrat Sheriff was put in charge of security for the event in question.

After trying to blame Tea Partyers for his fail, he is now being recalled.

Don't forget that Obama's objective on the Tucson shooting is to convince Democrats not to stray from the party line, or the wackoes might get them, too.
